At the end of 'The Two Sources of Morality and Religion' (1932), the French philosopher Henri Bergson (1858-1941) described the essential function of the universe as a machine for the making of gods. As a philosopher I assist in aligning both personal and organisational goals with the complex demands faced by contemporary society.
